This department deals with procedures which save or restore a damaged tooth, avoiding its extraction or removal. Teeth affected by dental cavities cause food lodgment, sensitivity and severe dental pain. This department specializes in dental fillings (average 1200 fillings done/quarter), aesthetic restorations, root canal treatment (RCT-average 300/quarter) along with regenerative therapy. With the advent of new technologies, the role of this department has expanded significantly and the root canal treatment performed in the department is one of the most popular treatments sought after by the patients. The department is run by competent faculty members who perform and actively supervise clinical work apart from taking interest in publishing research articles amounting to 83 in indexed peer reviewed journals in total from the department. The department is also supported by dedicated non-teaching staff.

- Fully functional and well equipped casting laboratory to handle both pre clinical and clinical metal and ceramic works (Casting machine,Pre-heat burnout furnace, vacuum mixer, voltage stabilizer,Vacumate, Duplicator, Index, Induction casting machine, spindle grinder, handpiece cleaner, pindex, cast duplicator, Lathe, die cutter, Sand blaster and Lab micro motor). Fully equipped ceramics laboratory with indirect composite curing unit, laboratory composite ceramic furnace.
